Artist With a Chainsaw

I was driving on Old Main Road in Conneaut, Ohio, when I happened upon this man standing on a platform using a chainsaw to make a carving of a large tree.

A couple, who I presumed were the homeowners, were in the yard watching the artist at work carving an ancient looking mariner at the wheel of his vessel.

There were no limbs lying around so the top of the tree must have been removed days or weeks earlier.

Naturally, I had to stop and make some photographs. Let those wood chips fly.
