Snowfall for 3
It’s a Sunday morning in early February. An overnight snowfall has coated everything in white. I also noticed that snow had accumulated in the netting in this basketball goal of my neighbor’s backyard. How this was possible I don’t know. I would think the snow just would have fallen through like the ball does when the shooter scores. But perhaps snow began sticking to the netting and more snow stuck until enough of it created the effect seen here.
Snow Cone Fire Hydrant and Snow Flag
As mentioned in an early post in February 2014 an overnight rainfall following by snow had coated everything in white by the next morning. I grabbed my camera and walked around the neighborhood to get some images of the winter scene.
In the top image snow has accumulated on the top of a fire hydrant to create the appearance of a snow cone. The bottom image show snow sticking to the American flag that one of my neighbors flies on his front porch.
Going to Regret it Later
It’s atypical winter scene in Cleveland Heights, Ohio, in February 2014. Rain following by snow overnight and into the next morning coated everything in white, making for a nice winter wonderland world that lured me outside with my camera.
Look to the right of that bush by the house in the foreground. The residents didn’t take in for the winter their garden hose. They’re probably going to regret that in the spring when they go to use it.
Sure as I’m Sittin’ Here
Every cat I’ve ever known sits in this position at least once a day. It is part of a grooming ritual. I was surprised that Suki sat here long enough for me to get my phone, open the camera app and make this image. She just sat there the whole time and even looked at me.
Red Reflection
Just another fall foliage reflection image that I made while out walking around my neighborhood.
