The Blue in Bluewater Michigan

Michigan describes itself as the Great Lakes State. It’s an apt description because it is surrounded by four of the five Great Lakes.

You might also sometimes see the phrase “bluewater Michigan” used to describe the state. If that moniker had a image next to it, it might be something like this.

This happens to be Lake Huron, but it could be any of the Great Lakes that border the state.
