Making Ripples in Indigo Lake

leave a comment »

I was waiting at Indigo Lake in the Cuyahoga Valley National Park for what I hoped might be a nice sunset.

A man was there with his dog and the pooch decided to get into the lake for a swim. As the dog splashed around in the lake that is a former rock quarry, the ripples spread out in a wide circle.

I was intrigued by how prominent they appeared in the backlighting on the water, creating a pattern that made for a a more interesting image than the sunset I was waiting for that turned out to be nothing out of the ordinary at all.
